Francisco J. Fraga received the BSc and MSc degree in Electronic Engineering from the Polytechnic School, University of São Paulo, Brazil, in 1987 and 2001, respectively. He obtained his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Technological Institute of Aeronautics (ITA, 1998). From 2000-2004 he worked as Assistant Professor at National Institute of Telecommunications (INATEL). In 2005 he was a Senior Researcher at the Laboratory of Integrated Systems, University of São Paulo, working in the AAC Audio Encoder/Decoder under the project of the Brazilian System of Digital TV (SBTVD). Since 2006 he is with Federal University of ABC (UFABC), Brazil. His research interests include biosignal processing, algorithms for digital hearing aids, automatic speech recognition and speech/audio enhancement and coding. At the MuSAE Lab, Francisco is involved with research related EEG-based diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases.
