received the BS degree in communications and electronics engineering and, the MSc degree in microelectronics from the Instituto Politcnico Nacional (Mexico) in 2007 and 2012 respectively. In 2007, he performed an internship at the Instituto Nacional de Cardiologa (Mexico). Between 2008 and 2010, he worked in industry as an R&D engineer. In 2012, he was a visiting student at the Research Centre of the Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montréal, Canada. Currently, he is PhD student at INRS-EMT. His main interests are in EEG signal processing, near-infrared spectroscopy, biomedical signal processing, sensor fusion, and brain-computer interfaces.
